Our community guidelines help ensure HelloNutrition remains a supportive, safe, and inspiring place for everyone on their health journey.

1. Be Supportive and Respectful

Everyone's health journey is unique. We encourage:

  • Celebrating others' achievements, no matter how small
  • Offering constructive, kind feedback when asked
  • Respecting different dietary choices and fitness levels
  • Being patient with those new to health tracking
  • Avoiding judgement about food choices or body types

2. Prioritise Safety

Health and safety come first:

  • Never promote dangerous diets or extreme weight loss methods
  • Don't share medical advice unless you're a qualified professional
  • Report content that promotes eating disorders or self-harm
  • Respect that our AI suggestions are not medical recommendations
  • Encourage others to consult healthcare providers for medical concerns

3. Build Community

Help us create a positive environment:

  • Share your successes and challenges honestly
  • Offer support to others facing similar challenges
  • Participate in community challenges respectfully
  • Welcome new members warmly
  • Share helpful tips and healthy recipes

4. Communicate Appropriately

Keep interactions positive and appropriate:

  • No harassment, bullying, or hate speech
  • Avoid spam or excessive self-promotion
  • Don't share others' personal information
  • Keep discussions relevant to health and fitness
  • Use appropriate language suitable for all ages

5. Share Responsibly

When sharing content:

  • Ensure food data and nutritional information is accurate
  • Don't make false claims about results or benefits
  • Respect others' privacy in photos and posts
  • Give credit when sharing others' recipes or tips
  • Avoid posting triggering before/after comparisons

6. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Promotion of eating disorders or unhealthy weight loss
  • Sale of unregulated supplements or medications
  • False health claims or miracle cures
  • Graphic or disturbing imagery
  • Illegal activities or substances
  • Sexual or inappropriate content
  • Impersonation of health professionals

7. Consequences of Violations

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • Warning from our moderation team
  • Temporary suspension of account features
  • Removal of content
  • Permanent account suspension for serious violations
  • Reporting to authorities for illegal activities

8. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behaviour that violates these guidelines:

  • Use the report feature within the app
  • Contact our support team at safety@hellonutrition.com
  • Include screenshots or specific details when reporting
  • Don't engage with violators directly

All reports are reviewed within 24 hours and kept confidential.
